deps: matthewdeaves/SDL (checkout SDL) and matthewdeaves/SDL-1.2

One home for the fleet's SDL builds: a retro/* branch per floor (table in RETRO.md), each from a named upstream commit with fleet patches as real commits, tagged, checked by scripts/weak-link-audit.sh against that floor's SDK.

  • Deliver a tag, a hash and one mail. Buildhost installs; ports consume. Edit neither.
  • Provenance: old-mac-build-host/sources/sdl2-legacy/README.md, old-mac-halflife/docs/adr/0004-*.md, old-mac-quakespasm/MacOSX/SDL-rebuild.md.
  • Never push, file or comment on libsdl-org: gh repo set-default --view must say matthewdeaves/SDL before any gh issue. Keep the zlib licence file.
  • SDL 1.2 (Quake ports' PowerPC slice): SDL-1.2's retro/panther-ppc* tags (SDL#4, #5).
  • Keep CLAUDE.md short; it loads every session.
